lush spa the comforter review

I don't want to give too much away and anyway there's not enough words to describe how amazing my experience at the Lush Poole spa was.... I arrived early and the folks in the shop treated me to a 101 on all my favourite products and then a cup of tea that was to die for..and I'm fussy with my tea. I was then called through to the spa where the amazing Sam talked me through what was about to happen. The spa carries on the same styling of the shops and the chat took place in a cute country style kitchen. I was then led through to a pink, star filled room. Instead of a normal massage table there was a memory foam mattress and heated duvet which I quickly slipped under. Covers of songs from charlie and the chocolate factory play and bubbles fly from the bubble machine.

The treatment starts with a gentle chocolate scrub, its gently warmed over tea lights and is then massaged in limb by limb. Before you ask, they peel back a teeny tiny part of duvet to expose you one bit at a time then quickly cover you up, after you're all scrubbed warm cloths remove it all following by yet more massaging this time with the gorgeous rose massage bar. And then you flip over and it happens all over again. It's a gentle rolling massage but it gets rid of any aches and pains and the atmosphere takes you back to being a little girl with pink ribbons in your hair. Its the same kind of comfort as diving into your parents bed when theres thunder and lightning, but its pinker, fluffier and less scary.....more like floating in a big, warm, pink cloud.

After you're all scrubbed and massaged ( well over an hours worth) you get left to casually get dressed and head out, by this point my body was so relaxed I completely struggled to get up.  I slowly made my way over to the giant bathroom where there was a huge array of LUSH goodies to play with (no shower is required after the comforter, unlike some other treatments!), I re did my hair and makeup and gave myself a spritz of my favourite LUSH perfume then floated through the the kitchen where Sam greeted me with a martini glass full of candy floss and a little bottle of rose water, which mixed together taste like heaven. And then it was over and I had to head back out to the cold, wet Poole high street to battle my way through the christmas shopping crowds.

I'm now home snuggled up in my pyjamas, with gorgeously soft rosey skin still feeling rather floaty and ever so relaxed. I will most definitely be treating myself to another trip to the LUSH spa after christmas!
